This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This lesson delved into how to teach various aspects of English and how to choose what exactly to teach. It also mentioned things to keep in mind when choosing (like how appropriate a vocabulary word or sentence structure is and how easily teachable it will be for each level of English Language Learners). There were some suggestions in here on how to plan an ESA lesson around these topics, and I plan on stealing a few. I particularly like the activation stage idea of having one student invite while the other student tries to refuse the invitation. It is a fun and creative way to get them to use the English they are currently learning plus words and phrases they have learned in the past. Many of these ideas are quite useful, and I've written them down for future reference.
