This chapter covered some of the basics for teaching specialized groups, such very young learners or business English learners. The needs of the students in these types of classes are different than other classes. Whether the course is full of beginners, false beginners, young learners, or business English learners, in a group setting or individual, knowing the specific needs of these students is very important. This chapter outlined some of these needs but it is always important for the teacher to differentiate and adapt. I found the questions in the example â€œNeeds Analysisâ€ to be very useful. Whether the class is for business English or not, having older students think about their learning, their strengths/weaknesses, and their language goals is motivating.
