The sixteenth unit in our course deals with conditional and reported speech and also provides ideas towards teaching exercises for each. For example, when teaching learners conditionals the educator would provide the learners with sentences which were cut in half and then ask them to mix them up and connect them again. For reported speech an exercise may include students being creative and forming their own news interviews which would contain third parties speech to help practice orally. While it was helpful to go over again the aspects of conditional and reported speech, providing exercises was the most beneficial portion of the unit for myself, as I am a beginner educator who is looking for the best ways to have students engage with the material to be learned.
