This section is an important first step to understanding what it means to be a teacher and on interacting with students. I find it very helpful to see a solid list of qualities and necessities of a teacher in order to imagine a healthy and productive learning environment. I think the unit outlines a good portion of what this means, while leaving other things to intuition. It is important to be able to understand what level of learner you are dealing with, therefore, the parts of the section which describe an understanding of different levels of language learners is helpful. If you are able to identify correctly the stage of learning in which a student is in, you can adapt your teaching in order to create the most positive/productive space for that learner.
