This unit has gone through many different ways that teachers can present their lessons in a fun and productive manner. It has explored benefits of using themes such as music, games, arts and drama, and also how to put them together to create an effective lesson plan. Unlike the younger YL learners, I learnt that older YL learners do not welcome singing, drama, dancing in front of the class. It is very important to incorporate TPR in songs/rhymes because it can stimulate kin-aesthetic learning center of the brain which is said to improve learning. I learnt how to obtain various lesson themes from internet resources. I acquired from this unit knowledge on how to develop lesson plan for YL by making use of themes that were mentioned in the unit.
