My central takeaway from this lesson is that there is value in combining established course materials and books with authentic materials. I particularly look forward to integrating timely, compelling, and entertaining cultural artifacts and songs that bring to life targeted objectives. I even see opportunities for creating new materials through song, by drafting new lyrics to well-known, strong melodies.This section taught me the various way of how to control the classroom. It explained the appropriate way to hold eye contact, manage behavioral issues, class grouping and arrangement, and how to maintain good student/teacher relationships. I personally got the most out of the parts that spoke about how to keep the students attention in the right ways and when to leave them alone. I enjoyed this unit a lot.
