This lesson went over receptive and productive language skills. In order to be fluent or literate in any language, both sets must be mastered. Our reading contained some good ideas with regard to how to develop the skills of students by analyzing relatable narratives. These included cultural differences in dress and the Tom Cruise interview portion of the test.This very short unit gives a brief description of the types of tests that can be used to evaluate the students ability, progress and prepare them for external examinations. Many internationally accepted tests are mentioned and briefly described. The Unit gives an example of a placement test, which tests the students ability and motivation prior to course start.
