This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I found this unit to be a bit jarring because I should have already known these simple things. It reminded me of how easy a language is when you grow up with it. It also made me realize that English truly is one of the hardest languages to learn and I'm surprised anyone can fully comprehend it as a second language. I'm excited to move farther along in the course and learn to simplify these ideas for my future students.I appreciated that part of the unit was set on students' typical mistakes which gave me a new point of view on something that I would otherwise only get to see in practice. It is very efficient to be able to compare the typical mistakes as I'm going through the theory since it is allowing me to associate them and prepare myself ahead of time. Also, few activities were really fun alternatives to surveys and task sheets!
