Conditionals are an area of grammar which I was not aware of, although I use it in daily life. Therefore I have learnt a lot from this unit, in the way of the main different conditionals used in the English language and how they are used. It is interesting to note how the forms used change depending on the reality and reliability of the situation being talked about. Reported speech is also something I had no previous technical knowledge of. I find this a more straightforward area of the unit, with the sentence adapted appropriately to convey the difference between the original direct speech and the reported speech. I feel I can further develop my understanding of this by listening to news media and how they report.
