This unit has made me aware of the variety of EFL courses available and the levels at which EFL can be taught. I am therefore developing a better sense of the level that I would have the ability to teach and I can now begin to acquire and prepare material to teach at that level. I hope that exposure to more actual teaching material will improve my ability to assess a student's level of development and progress.This unit discussed the different methods of evaluation and testing for students. The methods of Tutorials, Evaluation by students, and testing were first introduced. The different forms of tests were then talked about at length. These included placement test, progress tests, general external exams, and the Cambridge Assessment. The different types of Cambridge Assessments were discussed at the end of the unit.
