This unit was a general yet concise and helpful overview of the various different teaching tools and materials that may be available to ESL teachers in the classroom. Although some of the points may not be applicable to certain situations, I see the value in leaning about the various tools that could potentially be available for use. The little tips on how to use certain materials, such as the cassette recorder, was very helpful.In Unit 9 entitled ?Lesson Planning?, I learned who to effectively plan lesson, which involves some basic principles, being organized, and including: learning objectives, personal aims, language points, teachings aids, anticipated problems, procedure, phase, timing, interaction class level, number of student, date/time, and names. I also learned the template of a lesson plan according to the engage, study and activate method.
