This unit looks at the Past tenses. Understanding the differences when looking at individual sentences can be somewhat challenging and it is important for me to make sure that I continue to revisit all the tense units to make sure I have a complete understanding. Looking at past Simple and Past Continuous is were i was getting slightly confused.
Practice of writing individual sentences for each different tense will be important for students when learning these tenses as even as a native english speaker, we forget how we learnt them and when challenged to think about them i have realised just how difficult his could be for students but also how important they are to the learning of the language correctly.
