In this unit I have learned about different teaching aids that can be used to make lessons effective such as IWB, OHP, white/black board, videos and DVDs, computers, visual aids, worksheets, course books, dictionaries, online resources, etc. I have also learned from this unit the basic principles of board work and the main uses for the computer in English language teaching.This unit was quite challenging as I find the concepts covered modal verbs, phrasal verbs and passive voice all warranting close and intensive study. They tend to be difficult subjects to easily understand without a great degree of revision and constant review. I found phrasal verbs to be particularly difficult to understand in their usage and when they appear in sentences.
