Reviewing theories and methodologies gave me an understanding the pros and cons of using each and every technique in teaching technique. It was made clear that there is no one method that is absolutely the best. In my opinion, each method is appropriate based on the nature of task children are expected to learn. Whilst the classical method might be considered archaic, there are instances when this can come handy, that is in situations where we basically require grammatical translation. I also appreciated that some methods are best used for young learners whilst others are best for older learners. It is imperac=tive for the teacher to be acquainted with all methods and know when to use each chosen one.
