Planning a lesson is important for various reasons. It provides structure, guidance and is a way to keep a record of lessons. This does not mean that there is no room for flexibility. Teachers should be open to making any changes pending the flow of the class - students engaged and learning with a particular activity. This lesson also emphasizes the importance of organization and what should be included in lesson plans. Some of these are, learning objectives, language point and phase. The one aspect of the lesson I was surprised to see was the teacher's Self-Evaluation. Although I was not expecting this, I agree it is important to be able to grow - especially for inexperienced teachers.
