This unit covers lesson planning and information from the earlier unit about the ESA method. Less experienced teachers will most likely need to complete more extensive planning than experienced teachers. One key point covered in this unit is that plans must be flexible. There are many reasons that plans need to be flexible. Some examples of why plans must be flexible are: loss of power in the classroom, needing to hold a class outside because of a flooded classroom, students not grasping the information. The first two examples seem extreme however life happens and the class must go on. Teachers must be able to continue to execute a successful class even if a key element of their plan fails.
