This unit was on modal auxiliary verbs, passive voice and a short overview of phrasal verbs and relative clauses. Modal verbs are used before other verbs to add meaning to the main verb. They allow the user to express different ideas and opinions such as obligation, possibility, permission, ability and so on. The passive and active voice is a type of voice used in English. In the passive, the object of an active verb becomes the subject of the passive verb. Phrasal verbs consist of a verb and one or two particles. They operate together to create a meaning. Relative clauses are are group of words containing a subject and a verb.
