This unit similar to the present tense unit goes over the four different versions of past tense. The usage of the past simple is easily enough albeit the many irregular verbs in the English language. Things get a little more intricate with past continuous and even more still with past perfect and past perfect continuous. The unit breaks down each usage and structure which makes it easier to decipher which version a sentence might be. Common mistakes may include using the wrong to be verb and wrong tense.
