This unit looks at receptive skills having usefully categorised them against productive skills. Receptive skills are further categorised in reading and listening. It is all very useful to actually realise and understand this frame. Again, there was something which didn?t occur to me: reading let you go back if needed, listening doesn?t ? a useful thing to realise. The distinction between authentic and non-authentic texts was also an eye-opener, I would not have thought of daring the reading of a newspaper using pre-teaching vocabulary. Tasks/ Procedures material concludes the unit like in Unit 9.
