Unit 12 teaching productive skills is the sister unit to 11 which taught receptive skills so now I have the whole package. Students must be able to accurately and fluently produce the language being taught, but accuracy and fluency are taught differently where accuracy depends more on repetition and drills, while fluency is more experimenting and being creative with the language.
Unit 12 emphasized things such as encourage student talk, techniques on how to encourage it, and a typical ESA activity lesson on speaking activities.
Next was guidelines to free/creative speaking activities, what to do beforehand and also during and after. The unit finished with writing skills and an example of a creative writing lesson, and some fun and easy games to us with a class of any ages.
