The Engage Phase of ESA appears to be the most engaging and lively with regards to games, music and free flowing activities. The Total Physical Response to involve motion and learning I think will be very engaging. E.g, \"I am bouncing a blue ball to my friend Sari.\" while bouncing the ball. There are multiple ideas within the Engage Phase of a variety of learners within different age groups. The Study Phase is when the language point is presented. The Activate Phase enables free communication with the focus on fluency vs accuracy. The Boomerang ESA of engage-activate1-study-activate2 would be better for higher language abilities.
