In this unit I learnt about Conditionals and Reported Speech. Conditional are sentences containing the 'if' clause and can be categorized in five groups which are zero conditionals, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional and mixed conditional. Students can easily get confused in usage so teaching ideas include split sentences, chain conditionals, what would happen if... etc. Reported Speech converts direct speech to report to a third person and results in change in verb tense, use of pronouns and time clauses. These can also be complex for students and teaching ideas include use of intermediaries, reporting verbs list, media interviews and many more.
