Unit 5 covers the topic of classroom management. As a teacher, we need to know what to do in class for the benefit of the students. TTT (teacher talk time) should be as low as possible. So avoid repeating instructions unnecessarily, using jargon, and giving a constant flow of feedback. Arrange the classroom differently based off of what activity is going on. You can have the class together, then divide into individual tables or small groups during activate stage. It so important to keep the order during class without losing your temper or making unnecessary threats. Don't threaten to do things that you know you can't do. Don't personally belittle students for their behaviors. To keep your focus on the entire class, make sure that you know the name of each student and remember not to allow one student to hog all of your attention. Teach to the entire class, not just to the most intelligent or struggling students. Allow the shy students to be quiet until you get their confidence up. Lots of relevant teaching advice in this unit. Sorry I know I'm not remembering the points in any particular order:)
