I was very nervous watching first lesson. Teacher entered in a bad mood, and he did not use Engage stage. Students were confused and afraid to answer teachers question (even if they knew the answer) not to make a mistake. Teacher was uninterested to help a student who didn't know the difference between CAN and COULD. Teacher did not give good examples. Students were uninterested in the lesson. Everything he did was wrong. Awful lesson!
In the second lesson, everything was different. Teacher was in a good mood and it had a positive effect on the success of the lesson. He used engage phase. Students were interested in the lesson. They were more active. He used gestures and miming so students can produce more vocabulary. Activation stage was fun. A successful lesson.
