The two productive skills are writing and speaking. While focusing on speaking, there are accuracy activities, which are more controlled activities with the aim of proper grammar and structure, and fluency activities, which are more creative, open and used to encourage students to practice speaking more fluently with less of an emphasis on accuracy. Things to be aware of when teaching writing as opposed to speaking are handwriting, spelling, and punctuation.Information provided in this unit helps easier organize methodologies and prepare for classes. Certain parts of language such as grammar or language functions may be approached through different learning techniques. The teacher must know what type of structure to apply for a part of language that is being exercised. By doing so, the teacher is able to use activities that suit best. I think, I will be able to use this information to my advantage as a teacher.
