This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This lesson gives a brief overview of how a lesson plan should look like. A lesson plan is a loose record of what will happen in your class. Everyone's lesson plans are different. Some are very detailed and some are just a few notes jotted down. It's not a rigid system of what you have to do. The thing I appreciated about this unit the most was, the form for self evaluation. I'm definitely going to make copies of that and try it out, better improve myself. This unit covers the various types of evaluation and testing. It also explains what function or purpose each test and exam holds. For example, progress tests are used to see how much information a student has retained. Another example, diagnostic tests aid teachers in preparation for future lessons. I feel the unit has given me a better understanding on the importance of testing and evaluating as a teacher. And just how important a tool it is in education.
