This unit is all about the future tense. I had no idea there were so many uses of it compared to the past or present. I thought that there were only four like the past. The first four tenses of the present are almost exactly like the past but in the future. The future simple is I will do something and the future continuous is something or someone will be doing something. For example, I will be working. Then there is the future perfect where it's where someone had done something. For example, I will have played here for five years. The fourth future tense is the future perfect continuous and that is where someone will have been doing something. For example, I will have been playing for ten years. Then there is be going to like I am going to play basketball next week. The last two are present simple and present continuous but their meanings are meant to go toward the future. For example the flight arrives in an hour and I'm leaving the office at five. Both have not occurred yet and that is why they're both in the future.
