This unit focuses on how to manage classes. I have learnt the importance of eye contact, gestures and how to appropriately use my voice. I have also learnt the advantages and disadvantages of different classroom arrangements and how it greatly depends on a variety of factors including the class size, ages of students etc. I now know when group work, pair work and individual work is appropriate to use and which circumstances would suit that particular type of work best. The balance between TTT and STT is also covered.Unit 18 consists of basic essential grammar rules, that are fundamental for building a more complex picture showing all aspects of English grammar. I learned in great detail about five types of modal auxiliary verbs, and their usage according to different situations.I learned about 3 types of relative clauses, as well as passive and active voice in English grammar. I am now able to better explain to my students the rules and.the usage of active and passive voice, and i have better teaching ideas that unit 18 gave me.
