Course books and teaching materials are the teacher's tools to deliver language. For many teachers course books help saving time and offer verified content; however, students are big fans of lesson materials. Concerning lesson materials, a teacher sometimes might use authentic or reality materials to gain public interest or to build confidence, sometimes he might use created materials to supplement, replace, or adapt the course books. Course book, on the other hand, is a good option for many teachers because it saves time and offers tested content; however, it makes courses predictable and ignores students' learning problems. In fact, the teacher has the luxury to omit, replace, supplement, or adapt the content of the course book according to the students need. In addition, choosing a course book for a particular class requires an analytic procedures like: checking price, availability, and design. Personally speaking, I believe that combining course books with lesson materials in a cohesive way could result to a magnificent course.
