Teachers can play many roles while teaching. Teachers might be the instructor, a person who holds the knowledge; the facilitator, who creates the learning conditions; the mentor, an individual who acts as the model; the psychologist, who helps students with personal problems; the counselor that aides and advice or be the policeman who controls the crowd.
Clients of business English are divided into the following groups: individuals who are paying private lessons direct for the teacher or to a company where the teacher works; individuals for whom their employer is paying for the teacher or to a company where the teacher works; groups within a company that take classes at the firm where everybody work or at a language school and people from different places that attend a language school.
When teaching listening, reading, writing and speaking to a business English class, the activities must be connected with the clients' work environment.
