It's very important to a teacher to know how to deal with the course book and that was what exactly this lesson talked about. Some course books seem boring or uninteresting for some teachers and as well for students they may make the students reluctant to look or study from that book, others are good including different supporting materials which may help the teacher and students. Materials added by the teacher are two types, either authentic materials which is more motivating and interesting for students, or created materials which mainly adapt to the class students level such as using word search games, flash cards, role-play cards, or crosswords. Moreover, the coursebooks may not include the needed requires for the students, therefore the teacher may omit some lessons, or replace it with another one that is updated to their level. The teacher may also add some extra materials to reinforce a language point, or to adapt to some basic materials but in her own style or way.
