This unit introduced some of the possible teaching methods one would use to teach English. Particular focus was given to the E.S.A. methodology as it is the one used by this course. It allowed me to compare the various methods as well as begin forming ideas based on my chosen area of employment (Japan) as to which method would be most suited to the cultural context found there, and also caused me to begin thinking over which method would best suit my own personality as a teacher.This unit taught me more about past tenses such as forms and usages. But what was more interesting is that I also learnt about the common mistakes my students could make and how to correct them, so I'll know what to expect and therefore that would help me to be a better teacher. The unit even taught me about sample activate teaching ideas, which I personally think could be very useful because I'll have various ways to make my students implement the ideas I'm trying to teach them.
