From this unit, I learnt each of individual word has its own meaning in a sentence. Every single word is not only reflect its own meaning but also works meaningful in the whold sentence. For example, the old man is walking very slowly on the street. From this easy sentence, we know every easy word. But if the sentence has no adjective or adverb or the preposition, it cannot reflect how the man he is. So each of the word is the part of the speech.This unit clarified the topic of the productive skills, reading and writing. It explained the utility of reading and writing, and broke down the uses for each. It also went at length to discuss the different components of teaching reading and writing, and when to make corrections in the students. Some of these different components include accuracy and fluency with speaking, and penmanship, layout, spelling and punctuation with regards to writing.
