Covering the different present tenses is bringing me back to my L2 learning days, and is just as complicated as ever. Despite this, I feel better about identifying the different tenses (present simple, present perfect and present continuous) because the nuances and differences have been identified very well within the work sheet. In particular, the common mistakes section was quite intriguing because I realise that I have heard these common mistakes from non-English speakers before. It has made me more alert to what mistakes to potentially look out for.This unit was about future tense. It has some review of the previous units on present tense, but the main focus was on using the 7 most common future tenses and ideas used for future meanings. It was said to be the one of the most complex areas of the English language.
These types of units are not my favorite. I typically do not do as well on these tests and feel as if I am not sure as to what the questions are asking. It gave usage and examples, which are helpful, yet I feel as if I need to study a bit more to feel better about teaching this to others.
