The unit is about teaching English to special groups, i.e. children and adults. It highlights factors a teacher is to consider when preparing the learning experiences for the various groups. The teaching technique stays the same, i.e. ESA, which makes it easy for the teacher to plan for a lesson regardless of the difference in the group to be taught.There are many things a teacher can do to build a positive classroom environment for both themselves and the students. The students should respect the teacher but not be afraid of them. They should feel comfortable enough to participate and not be afraid to make mistakes in order to improve but they should also have respect enough to not act out or create disruption within the classroom. Getting to know students and their personalities will help you build a bond and good rapport.
