This unit deals with the Past tense. The past tense is divided into four pasts: past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. The unit deals with these for past tenses, it gives examples of each, the usage of each past tense, the form. It also provides examples of teaching ideas to do in the Activate stage when dealing with the past; and it also provides examples of common mistakes/errors, so teachers can know what type of mistakes/erros to expect and how to solve them.In unit fourteen I learned about authentic materials and created materials. It discussed about their uses and why we use them. Examples of authentic and created materials were given for further explanation of how these materials work and look. The course book was also introduced and there was a discussion on how we can use the course book without falling into the disadvantages of the course book. A course book could also be analyzed with certain factors beforehand so it will fit the class needs.
