This unit points out and explains the potential learning difficulties students may face while dealing with comprehension and suggests different methods in solving these problems.
In my opinion, students' skill of dealing with comprehension doesn't depend on the number of vocabulary they have learnt, rather it is more about the skill how they find correct answers through different skills, such as predictive and deduction skills. I would suggest in my lesson plans that vocabulary taught in the STUDY phrase should be done after comprehension practice as I don't hope students to rely on the vocabulary taught in the lesson, rather they should be self-reliant to improve their deduction skill. And teachers should always pay attention to the level of difficulty of passage selected for their lessons.
