This unit was very insightful as it gave a clear view of the differences between a successful lesson and an unsuccessful lesson. It did this by showing the same teacher portraying a 'bad' version of a teacher, and then portraying a 'good' version of a teacher to the same group of students. This allowed one to see the similarities and of course the major differences between these two lessons, which in turn helped to solidify the previous units in the course and show them in real life situations. As a native English speaker, I find these tenses confusing, not just in their name but in their usage. Different verb tenses can, at some times, seemingly convey the same meaning. Since I usually naturally speak with the correct grammar, my initial thought is that it may be quite overwhelming to teach this to a student. They must not only memorize many vocabulary words, but they must also consider the verb tense and all of the irregularities of the verbs and their spelling. Seems overwhelming!
