This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
My assessment of how to understand the meaning of continuous and perfect feels as if it is taking hold and now I am certain I can use my understanding to help teach students. What has become clear in this unit, however, is the complexity of teaching future tenses to someone learning English. When you are having students determine whether they will be using future perfect or future perfect continuous, you are reaching an almost ungainly number of words that must be included in a sentence. As described in the unit, future perfect continuous necessitates the use of an adverbial expression with by, which is a rule I did not know until now. I am certain that kind of rule would be helpful to students, but I am not sure I would have ben able to come up with a teaching technique that isolated that form in the absence of your suggestions. So, needless to say, nice work by your curriculum designers again.
