In unit 19 I learned about the different types of students I might be teaching and the different things those students might need. These groups are absolute beginners, false beginners, adults learning english for business, children, and classrooms where the students are either monolingual or multilingual. Absolute beginners are students who have never studied english. False beginners are students who have studied some english before, but don't remember it from before. When teaching english for business, it is important to teach both basic english, and english that caters to their profession. When teaching young children you have to present them with short, direct activities and use a lot of repetition. Monolingual classes are bound to use english less in class because they have another common language besides english. A multilingual class will only have english as the thing that connects them.
