The unit explained the different types of tests that can be used classrooms based on student needs. This helps teachers identify the requirements of the classes based on the type of tests and score students get. For example placement tests are useful to check what stream students can pursue, placing them in an appropriate class. This also helps teachers know that different tests can be used for different purposes as opposed to testing the memory of students.This unit covers lesson planning with examples of what a good lesson plan should be. I was excited to learn about lesson planning as a skill. It is actually simpler than I expected, although I do understand how crucial it is to not only be organised, but also to figure out exactly what kind of lesson plan is most beneficial for you as a teacher. I particularly enjoyed the template because it broke the planning process down to a simple, yet effective process.
