The future tense helps students communicate with others when they need to express something that is going to happen in the future. It also helps others to understand a future plan or something that is going to happen. So it will not confuse the timeline in the communication process. However, the complication (eg. when to use simple future and when to use be going + infinitive or present continuous)in this tense may sometimes confuse students in usage.I found this unit particularly useful and beneficial as it is my first exposure to proper teaching methodology, and clearly explains the pattern of teaching based on TEFL certification. Seeing as I am a new trainee teaching with little to no experience in teaching, this unit was a great read to go over. The Engage, Study, and Activate idea by Jeremy Harmer has really helped me create my own idea of how to teach that is very understandable and logical.
