In this unit I learned the importance of the teacher's attitude and how it can affect the learning of the material by students. Since teachers are the leaders in the classroom, the students follow the energy that the teacher projects. If the teacher is positive, smiles, and exudes confidence the students will pay attention better. However, if the teacher is negative, gloomy and shows indifference the students won't understand the material well. How the teacher's behavior and the way lesson plans are setup highly affects the efficiency of student's learning abilityThis unit is very rich with information that is unfamiliar to me. It goes through the kinds of broad teaching methods as well as the stages of the ESA method (which I personally feel is the best), while garnering a wealth of knowledge. Most of the things presented here are intuitive, which makes it easier to remember and implement.
There is a lot of information in this unit that was difficult to retain, particularly all of the activities available during different parts of ESA, but hopefully printing it out would be helpful for devising the lesson plan later on.
