This unit was very valuable to me because I use present tenses every day without thinking but when confronted with identifying them, I found it a challenge. I recognize all of them and easily recognize mistakes but find it difficult to clearly explain why it is a mistake. This unit identified each tense and broke them down to their basic forms to help identify why and when they are used. Though I still think that I have a lot to learn about effectively explaining tenses to a student, I think that the activities and the teaching tips will be valuable in the classtoom.This unit talks about Conditional and Reported Speech. It discuss the five categories of conditionals, how the sentence changes in every conditional, how the verb change from one to another, how a reported speech should be done and teaching ideas for both topics. I learnt in this unit is that i have to be aware on the way i create my sample sentences as i get confuse which conditional it should apply to. I understand now the typical mistakes/errors as i myself get confuse with my construction of sentences as they may look and sound the same but they are actually not.
