I am enjoying that each of these recent units seem focused on applying new content to the ESA sequences. This is so helpful in internalizing the ideology of ESA and each step of the lessons. It is understandable that productive skills and receptive skills are equally important, but what happens when faced with students with inherently poor expression skills? Their productive skills, the basis on which data is collected by a teacher, may be skewed. How can I ensure this doesn't happen - or happens minimally?This unit focuses on the various techniques and options a teacher will have when attempting to manage their future classrooms. The unit includes information on the appropriate use of gestures, eye contact, and speaking within the classroom as well. The unit focuses on the pros and cons of grouping students in specific ways and also offered insight on classroom arrangement and the different options available. It was a helpful lesson that will prove useful when contemplating how to manage my future classroom.
