The teacher in the first video made a variety of mistakes. First off he seemed disinterested and was getting frustrated with the students. His appearance come across as rude and cold. He kept saying how easy everything was, which would make students reluctant to answer his questions because if they get \"easy\" concepts wrong they will feel stupid. He spent to much time writing and looking at the board. The moments of silence lasted to long. He built no rapport with the students, and simply sat in silence while they completed the worksheet.
In the next video the teacher was much more friendly, built rapport, was active and exciting, and encouraged student participation. He followed the ESA method and used it effectively. He engaged the students and \"kept them on their toes.\" His attitude is the thing that changed the attitude for the students.
