Unit 13 provides a clear description of key aspects of English phonology in order to help teachers to know how to teach pronunciation. It covers the main areas of pronunciation -- consonants, stress, rhythm, and intonation, it also detailed introduces the speech organs and the place of articulation, as well as other information that is useful to know for EFL or ESL teaching. Unit 13 provides very good teaching ideas, practical tips, clear explanations, diagrams, and sample classroom activities, I found all of these are so useful. This unit covers the significant importance and often ignored topics of pronunciation and phonology. It studies the the parts of physical sound that are responsible for pronunciation and emphasis of speech in different moods and situations using grammar, intonation, rhythm, stress, the phonemic alphabet as well as articulation and many more. This unit has helped me understand the phonological sound system with more accuracy and clarity giving me confidence and assurance, which I believe will do the same for any English student.
