This unit covers the fundamental rules of the past tense. The system and structure of the past tense is similar to that of the present tense, except it talks about events and occurances that happened in the past. There are also numerous irregular past tenses which must be memorized.
Just like present tenses, there are many types of past tenses. Some of which include:
-past simple
-past continuous
-past perfect
and etc.
A solid understanding and knowledge of past tenses helps to properly teach EFL students correct English grammar usage.Unit 4 covers the break down of our Present tense of the English language. Comprising of four main parts. Present simple, Present Continuous, Present Perfect, and finally Present perfect continuous. We learned how to write each in their regular/contracted forms. As well as break down into affirmative, negative, and question. I personally liked in this unit the break down of how we have 12 different tenses, as I will admit I needed some refreshing on. So this was a good unit for me to dive into to get a good look at he starting Present tense.
