I feel like this unit has cleared up a lot of what I have seen previously in the classroom. I like how it wasn't just about a specific age group or a particular group of people. It reminded me a lot about my own experience with teaching and got me thinking more about what students want from a lesson. Each student will have their own reason for coming to class (or no reason at all in some casses for younger learners) so to be an effective teacher one needs to think carefully about what to teach and HOW to teach. The roles of a teacher in the classroom are varied and it makes sense to try and structure a class in a way that is 1) interesting for students and 2) allows a teacher to take on the different roles. The relationship between student and teacher is important and is just as important as the content that is being covered in class.
