In this unit I feel that I have learned how to use appropriate activities in according to the level that students are at in their attempt to learn a new language. For example, students who are in the beginning phase of learning a new language, you want to introduce activities using visuals and to ensure that student understand clearly what they are expected to do. Something else that I have learned is that it is important to choose new words that students can use on a regular basis.This unit offers up two separate videos of real classes of English language learners. In the first video you see an example of a lesson that is less effective, with low levels of participation from the students. In the second video, you see a lesson with a high level of participation and interest. Both lessons cover the same topic, but the students are better able to grasp the material in the second video. I was able to see various strategies described in previous lessons in action.
